Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The conditions were miserable. Her father was a vehicle salesman and her mother was a teacher. Jennifer was the second child in the family of four frequently attended her mother's performance in the theater and was awestruck. Jennifer's parents divorced when she was 5 years old. Jennifer spent most of her early years living in British Columbia after her mom relocated there with the other four children. Jennifer wasn't a student, though as a youngster she was a talented artist. As a result of her education at Canada's public schools Jennifer became the object of a lot of bullying. As her interest in theatre began to fade in high school she started playing in theatre with her mother. Every child was motivated by their mothers to explore a passion for the arts. She then began to take steps.
